What Is Hair Rejuvenation?

Hair rejuvenation starts with understanding why hair is thinning. There are many possible causes — genetic pattern hair loss, shedding after illness, stress or childbirth, iron or thyroid problems, and inflammatory scalp conditions among them. The right treatment depends entirely on the cause, so every hair plan starts with a proper medical assessment.

Where appropriate, we offer in-clinic scalp treatments to support hair density and quality:

PRP for hair — platelet-rich plasma prepared from your own blood and injected into thinning areas of the scalp, with the aim of supporting hair follicles.

Scalp mesotherapy — a blend of vitamins, amino acids and other nourishing ingredients placed into the scalp through very small injections.

Is It Right for You?

Scalp treatments tend to suit people with early to moderate thinning, particularly pattern hair loss, who still have active follicles. They are most effective as part of a wider plan, which may also include blood tests, addressing triggers, and evidence-based home treatments.

If your hair loss is sudden, patchy, scarring, or associated with scalp symptoms, the priority is diagnosis — and we will be honest if a different route, including referral, is more appropriate.

The Process

Your Treatment Journey

Consultation

We take a detailed history, examine your scalp and hair, and may recommend blood tests to look for contributing factors. Together we agree whether scalp treatment is appropriate, and what else belongs in your plan.

Treatment

For PRP, a blood sample is taken and processed. The treatment is then placed into the scalp with fine injections. Sessions take 45–60 minutes.

Recovery

The scalp may feel tender, with mild redness, for a day or two. Avoid washing your hair for 12–24 hours, and avoid hair dye, heat styling and exercise for 24 hours.

Results & Aftercare

Hair grows slowly, so changes are gradual — typically assessed three to six months after starting a course. We track progress with consistent photographs at review.

Maintenance

An initial course of three to four sessions, four to six weeks apart, is typical, followed by optional maintenance every few months to sustain results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this regrow my hair?

Scalp treatments may help improve density and hair quality in suitable patients, particularly with early thinning. They cannot restore follicles that are no longer active. We will give you an honest view at consultation.

Why do I need an assessment first?

Hair loss has many causes, and some — such as low iron or thyroid problems — need treating at their source. Treating the scalp without understanding the cause risks wasted time and money.

How long until I see results?

Hair growth is slow, so progress is usually assessed after three to six months.

Does it hurt?

The scalp can be sensitive, but most patients find treatment manageable. We take steps to keep you comfortable.

Is this suitable for women and men?

Yes. Both men and women with suitable types of thinning may benefit.

Should I keep using my current hair treatments?

Usually yes, but bring a list to your consultation — we will review everything you use and make sure your plan works together.
