What Is Profile Balancing?

Profile Balancing is a signature protocol that looks at your face from the side, and at how the nose, lips, chin and cheeks relate to one another. Small changes in one area can change how the others are perceived — a modest chin enhancement, for example, can make the nose appear more in proportion.

The protocol typically uses around 4ml of hyaluronic acid filler, distributed between the areas that will make the most difference to your profile. This may include:

  • Chin — projection and definition
  • Nose — smoothing a bump or supporting the tip (non-surgical rhinoplasty)
  • Lips — subtle definition and balance
  • Cheeks / mid-face — support and contour

Is It Right for You?

Profile Balancing tends to suit people who feel their features don’t quite sit in harmony — a weaker chin, a dorsal bump, or flatter mid-face — and who want subtle, coordinated refinement rather than a dramatic change.

Not every profile needs every area treated. We plan around your anatomy and priorities, and will be clear about what filler can and cannot achieve.

Benefits

  • Considers how features relate, not just individual areas
  • Subtle, coordinated refinement of the profile
  • Non-surgical, with results visible immediately
  • Reversible, as all fillers used are hyaluronic acid based
The Process

Your Treatment Journey

Consultation

We assess your profile from multiple angles with photographs, discuss your priorities, and agree where filler would make a meaningful, balanced difference.

Treatment

Treatment takes 60–120 minutes. Areas are treated in a planned order, with your profile checked as we go.

Recovery

Mild swelling, tenderness and possible bruising for several days. If the nose is treated, avoid glasses resting on the bridge and pressure on the nose for two weeks.

Results & Aftercare

Results are visible immediately and settle over around two weeks. We provide aftercare guidance and a review appointment.

Maintenance

Results typically last 9–18 months depending on the areas treated. Any top-up is your choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which areas will be treated?

It depends on your profile. Common areas include chin, nose, lips and cheeks, but we only treat where it genuinely improves balance.

Is 4ml a lot of filler?

Spread across several areas, 4ml typically gives a subtle, balanced result. We may recommend less if your face needs it.

Can I add extra filler if needed?

If, at consultation, additional product would genuinely help, we will discuss it and its cost before proceeding.

How long does it last?

Typically 9–18 months, depending on the area and product.

Is it reversible?

Yes. All fillers we use are hyaluronic acid based and can be dissolved if needed.

Are there risks?

Bruising and swelling are common; rarer complications are discussed fully at consultation. Treating the nose carries particular considerations, which we explain in detail.
